Our approach
Darwin Hub builds privacy-conscious apps. No Darwin Hub app requires an account. App content and progress are stored on your device unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise. Advertising providers, hosting providers, Google Play, and support email can still process information as explained below. Offline functionality and the absence of an app account do not mean that every interaction is anonymous.
Scope and app-specific notices
This policy covers the Darwin Hub website and the Android apps listed here. It does not cover independent websites, advertised products, or services you open through external links. The Darwin personal-cloud service linked at caix.in is a separate service; review its own notices before using cloud or account features.
Read the relevant app’s Google Play Data safety section and permission prompts alongside this policy: features, permissions, and third-party services can differ by app. Any separate privacy notice for a feature should be read before you enable it.
Advertising in our apps
Many Darwin Hub apps are free and show ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver, limit, and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may process device information such as your advertising ID, IP address, and interactions with ads, under Google’s own privacy policy.
Ad personalisation depends on settings, eligibility, and any applicable consent controls. Turning off personalisation does not stop all processing for ad delivery, measurement, or fraud prevention. Darwin Hub receives aggregated ad reports; this does not mean that Google processes only aggregate information.
Understanding Google Play Data safety
The Data safety section of each app’s Google Play listing describes its declared collection and sharing practices. Google’s definitions distinguish local processing from off-device transmission and include processing by third-party SDKs. A statement about data sharing is not a guarantee that an app never processes information.
Read the listing together with this policy and any feature-specific notices. QR Scanner And Creator has app-specific data-collection disclosures; check its listing before use, and contact us if a disclosure appears inconsistent with the app’s behaviour.
Website data
This website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Standard hosting infrastructure may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and security logs to deliver and protect the service.
Information you send us
If you email support, we receive your email address, the information in your message, and any attachments you choose to send. This can include an app name, device model, Android version, purchase reference, or a description of a problem.
We use this information to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and handle requests. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, or sensitive app content unless it is necessary for your request.
App content and device permissions
Depending on the app and the feature you use, on-device content can include notes, attachments, game progress, settings, or scanned and generated QR codes. Features such as scanning or adding an attachment may require access to your camera or selected files.
Android shows the applicable permission prompt. You can review or revoke permissions in Android settings; a feature that depends on a revoked permission may stop working. A device permission does not by itself mean that content is sent to Darwin Hub.
QR codes, attachments, and sharing
QR codes can contain contact details, messages, Wi-Fi credentials, or other information you choose to encode. Notes and calendar attachments can also contain personal information. Consider what a recipient or anyone scanning a shared code can read before exporting or sharing it.
When you open a scanned link, share a file, or use another app to handle an action, that destination may process information under its own policy. A QR scan does not establish that a linked website is safe.
How information is used
Information processed in connection with the service is used to deliver pages and requested features, respond to support requests, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, the relevant basis depends on the activity, such as providing a requested service, protecting service security, complying with a legal obligation, or obtaining consent where required.
Purchases and external services
Some apps offer optional in-app purchases. Google Play processes app downloads, payments, refunds, and related account information under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. Darwin Hub does not receive your complete payment-card details.
Data retention and security
On-device app data generally remains until you delete it, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. Files you export or copies retained by Android backup may remain separately and must be managed through the relevant device or backup settings. Support correspondence and limited hosting logs are retained for as long as needed to address requests, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.
Retention depends on the information and purpose; no fixed retention period is promised here. No storage or transmission method can guarantee complete security.
International processing
Darwin Hub is operated from India. Hosting, email, Google Play, and advertising providers may process information in other countries under their own service arrangements and policies. Privacy protections can differ by location. Contact us if you need information about the handling of a specific request or service.
Children
Our games may be enjoyed by families. We do not knowingly request personal information directly from children through this website or support. This does not remove the third-party processing described in the advertising section. Check each app’s store age rating and supervise features, permissions, and purchases on shared devices.
Ads in our apps are served by Google AdMob; parents can limit ad personalisation in Android settings or with Google Family Link. A parent or guardian may contact us with any concern.
Your choices
You can remove locally stored app data through Android settings or by uninstalling an app. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device’s Android ad settings. You may also contact us to ask a privacy question or request action on information you believe we hold.
Privacy requests
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to certain processing. Email hello@caix.in with the app or service name and the action you are requesting. We may need limited information to verify your identity and locate relevant records. We cannot access content held only on your device or directly delete records controlled by Google or another independent provider.
We will explain any applicable limitations and handle requests within deadlines required by the law that applies. Do not send identity documents unless we specifically request information necessary to verify a request. You may also contact the relevant privacy authority where that right is available.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when features, providers, or information practices change. The date shown on this page identifies the current version. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a change, we will provide it before the relevant processing begins.
